I look around in my company at those in leadership positions and I see so many different personalities, approaches and tactics that I cannot see any consistency in the way they do their jobs. Some seem to get results and others don’t. Some are liked by their peers and subordinates and some are not. Can you help with some ideas?
You are not alone in your confusion by what you are seeing in the leadership styles and capabilities in your company. This is a common question asked and that is why there are thousands of books written on Leadership.
I can only say that in some cases what you are observing is NOT leadership at all, just individuals that have risen to a position by whatever means and want to keep climbing on the backs of those around them.
